And we love an oil—the silky texture gently hugs the skin and hydrates so effectively. So we combined the two in the Daytime Brightening Serum by creating a dual-phase formula. The 10% concentration of vitamin C, which is both gentle enough for sensitive skin and powerful enough to fade dark spots, is protected in a layer of moisturizing meadowfoam seed oil in the top half of the bottle. And the 2% Caviar Lime, a natural alpha hydroxy acid that also has antioxidant properties, is kept in the bottom serum layer.
By separating the ingredients within the bottle, they’re kept potent and stable—a common concern with many vitamin C products on the market, since it is notoriously unstable and can lose its efficacy if formulated incorrectly. Just shake the bottle before application to mix the unique serum-oil layers together. It goes on without any orange cast, which you may have experienced with other vitamin C products, and sinks in to start working fast.

We definitely recommend layering Daytime Brightening Serums on top of other serums, however due to the higher oil content, we recommend applying Daytime Brightening Serum on its own, rather than mixing with another product before applying.
