Why exfoliate? It's simple - regular exfoliation removes the top layer of dull, dead skin that accumulates every month as our skin cycles. The result? Brighter, more radiant, healthy-looking skin, and a perfectly primed surface for treatments and moisturizers.

Exfoliators are either mechanical (like a scrub) or chemical (like a peel). Mechanical exfoliators remove dead skin by way of physically buffing it away, while chemical exfoliators use ingredients like acids to effectively dissolve the dead skin. While scrubs can offer a great sensory experience, mechanical exfoliators can be rough on sensitive skin, especially if used regularly. On the other hand, some chemical peels can also be harsh and cause irritation. This is why we prefer gentle peel products that can be used consistently, so that you have an even exfoliation without any redness or stinging.

Our favorite exfoliating product is REVEAL Biomimetic Peel Pads with LSR10 (Allure Best of Beauty award-winner two years in a row, 2015 & 2016). These pads use natural acids derived from caviar lime and milk (lactic acid), as well as azelaic acid for brightening and smoothing.
