Natural vs Synthetic

Natural vs Synthetic

Is natural always good? Is synthetic always bad? It's confusing, but here’s what you need to know.

So why do so many people believe natural is better than synthetic, especially in skincare? Well, it’s true that there are many natural and naturally-derived ingredients that deliver tremendous skincare benefits to the skin. It’s also true that there are synthetics used in skincare that have questionable health implications, or can be harsh to the skin.

But it’s not so black and white. Natural isn't always good, and synthetic isn't always bad. Remember that lead is naturally-occuring yet toxic compound, while medications are synthetic yet some are safe and deliver life saving treatment.

At EVER, we use all the information we can find to make smart formulation choices. We recognize the power of botanicals, and source active ingredients that help the product perform and deliver real results. At the same time, we adhere to a rigorous formulation standard and test according to EU Safety Standards--the strictest in the industry.

Our formulas combine the very best of both worlds - high powered botanicals with safe, effective non-botanicals such as peptides and hyaluronic acid to boost efficacy, or safe forms of silicone to enhance the luxurious feel of a product. Likewise, unlike many brands that rely only on synthetics, we don’t pack our formulas with cheap fillers.

We also go one step further: we validate our materials, require and review all ingredient safety data, and perform a gamut of safety, analytical and irritation tests just to make sure are formulas are perfectly safe before going to market.

So, long story short, it’s not a matter of whether natural is better than synthetic or vice versa. To us, it’s about combining the best elements of both to create a product that delivers the real results that we all want to see and feel good about using.
