Cid Chun

Cid is an EVER Independent Specialist who, at 58, has a renewed excitement about her life. She fought and survived cancer 10 years ago, and this experience helped her shift perspective and focus on what was really important. Now, Cid is looking forward to early retirement from her job as a high school curriculum and program coordinator, without the burden of financial limitations, all because she knows she can earn with EVER. Here’s what she had to say.

What inspired you to become an EVER Independent Specialist?

I had been involved with network marketing, and was inspired by the opportunity of this business model, that it could change one’s life and circumstances. When I heard about EVER, I was inspired to join a group of strong and intelligent women, and to be part of something from its beginning. Initially, I wasn’t exactly interested in skincare and had accepted that having sun-damaged, wrinkled skin was inevitable since I live such an active, outdoorsy lifestyle. But I realized shortly that healthy looking skin was possible for me, which was a great bonus.

I was also really inspired by my daughter, Nakita. She had moved home from NYC to get away from the corporate life, and dive into the EVER business after her first look. I was inspired to support her, and myself, in moving towards a career that allowed more freedom and flexibility. Now we’re a duo, and she’s on my team!

What has been your experience with the EVER Transformation and what does that mean to you?

10 years ago, I battled and survived cancer, and although I always thought of myself as a strong person, I was shocked to see the toll that chemotherapy took on my body. My skin was gray, my hair was gone, and my digestive system wasn’t functioning. I felt weak and depressed, yet still so grateful that I made it through. It changed my perspective, and made me want to take care of my health, focus on what was important to me, and live each moment to its fullest.

Sometimes you don’t have a choice in the obstacles you face, but I realized I still had a lot choice in what my life looked like, and that my career as an EVER Specialist could help me shape that life. Before EVER, our options for retirement were to either live frugally, or completely uproot and move to a less expensive state - neither of these options were attractive to me. Now, there’s another path that wasn’t there before, one that includes travelling and spending more time doing things I love.

I can’t leave out the transformation of my skin either. I didn’t know my skin could transform this dramatically in my 50’s, after decades of sun exposure. Because of EVER, I love the way my skin feels when I wake up in the morning, and the confidence I have when my daughter wants to take a selfie with me. The skincare, combined with healthy living, has helped me be more at ease with myself. I’m so happy to be here, and I feel better than I did a decade ago.

What’s your next big goal and how are you going to achieve it?

My next goal is to make Director level and I plan to achieve it by being consistent and hardworking, by lifting others up, and by helping them achieve their goals. The sales part has sometimes been challenging for me, and I’m excited to continue growing in this area. I am also learning new ways of meeting new people and sharing the EVER opportunity.

In my personal life, I’d also really love to take early retirement in three years and supplement with the income I earn with EVER skincare.

If you were stuck on a desert island with just one EVER product, what would that be?

It would be DAYLIGHT.  Pretty much everything to do on a desert island is outdoors and I need the SPF!
